The Crude Life Week in Review Episode 375: Analysis of Paralysis and New Normals
/

This week on Mining Money, Brandon Davis, CEO, of Swan Energy gives some advice for those stuck in a world of uncertainty. Davis gives some advice on ways to overcome the “analysis to paralysis”, which is prevalent in today’s market.

Dan Hedrington, SEH, gives an update on the Davis Refinery, the first greenfield refinery to be built in the United State in over 40 years. The Davis Refinery has received several Supreme Court rulings over the summer, including an air quality permit and a siting permit. These are significant milestones for the Davis Refinery. The Davis Refinery is being spearheaded by Meridian Energy Group, who has seen a “new normal” in oil and gas involving excessive litigation and state scrutiny. Hedrington comments on what it was like working with the state and dealing with the years of litigation only to be victorious in the end.

Matt Hill, Knight Energy, talks about the changes made to the Oilfield Tailgate events due to COVID. This year, rather than all the Oklahoma Sooner football games, they will be having one event November 21 for the Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State game.

Spread the word. Support the industry. Share the energy.
