Davis Refinery Clears Another Hurdle, Litigation Becoming New Normal in Oil
/

Dan Hedrington, SEH, gives an update on the Davis Refinery, the first greenfield refinery to be built in the United State in over 40 years.

The Davis Refinery has received several Supreme Court rulings over the summer, including an air quality permit and a siting permit. These are significant milestones for the Davis Refinery.

The Davis Refinery is being spearheaded by Meridian Energy Group, who has seen a “new normal” in oil and gas involving excessive litigation and state scrutiny. Hedrington comments on what it was like working with the state and dealing with the years of litigation only to be victorious in the end.

Hedrington gives a timeline on when construction will begin on the site, rehiring workers and moving earth.
