Renewable Energy Stocks See Record Investments

As a global community, we’re known for a long time now that it’s imperative for the worldwide economy to decarbonize rapidly and in earnest if we have any chance of avoiding catastrophic climate change. But as clear as this message has been and as loud as the pleading from the scientific community and elite international consortiums like The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has gotten in recent years, global leaders and the private sector have been excruciatingly slow to lead the charge toward a more climate-friendly world. It turns out that maybe all we needed was a global apocalypse to finally catalyze the global clean energy transition. The novel coronavirus dealt such a sweeping interruption to the economic status quo and the monumental momentum of business as usual that, for the first time since the industrial revolution, the world was able to take a breather and make a real attempt to realign our industrial and economic trajectory.

Huntsman spiders eat tree frogs after luring them into leaf traps

Huntsman spiders in Madagascar eat tiny frogs, and scientists suspect that the spiders catch their prey by weaving “traps” made of leaves, to lure the frogs inside with a promise of protection from the sun.

In 2017, researchers spotted a spider in the Damastes genus clutching a Heterixalus andrakata tree frog — the second time that Madagascar spiders have been seen eating frogs. The spider was enjoying its meal while crouching inside a pocket crafted from two leaves that were still attached to a tree; the leaves’ edges were sealed together with spider silk, leaving a small opening.

FracleBerry Hound hangs out in the studio during the Play Hard portion of The Crude Life Morning Show Play Hard Work Hard

The clunking and cludding noises heard from time to time in the background are ChewyPawz antler chews being used as a “give-me-attention” device. Yet another benefit of ChewyPawz…. at least from the dog’s point of view.

In HOUR TWO we WORK HARD with our Newsmaker Interview: Colorado State Senator John Cooke

Colorado State Senator John Cooke, District 13, gives an update on Colorado’s new oil and gas rules that go into effect Jan. 15, 2021. Cooke said these new rules will affect almost every stage of the oil and gas extraction process in Colorado.

The decision to enact the laws also comes as the industry has struggled during the COVID-19 pandemic, with nearly 8,000 Colorado oil and gas workers filing unemployment claims between mid-March and the end of October.

Senator Cooke responds to the question of whether public officials and elected officials have become disconnected with the oil and gas and the reliance state governments have on industry.

How to take action and why political blowback is much more dangerous than in the past due to special interests funding political agendas.
