HOUR ONE PLAY HARD: Sterling is back with Jason Spiess who is back from Weld County, Colorado.

The two catch up from the thrills and spills of travel to Sterling’s domestic duties keeping him from traveling.

Jason and Sterling talk about how the media is allowing speculation to be used against fact. Words like “likely” and “some people say” are used as ways to advance a narrative in the same way a grifter uses slight of hand.

Ken Lavin, Winter Mud and #FossilFuelFridays, joins the Play Hard portion of the program. The three talk about the southern storm and specifically how Texas was impacted.

The conversation dives into the difference between the Ag economy and Oil economy. How they appear to present a “trickle down” method, but Jason points out there is a major difference at the root of the two.

In HOUR TWO we WORK HARD with our Newsmaker Interview:  Colorado State Senator Ray Scott

Scott gives an overview of the reasons, realities and rationales behind Weld County wanting to succeed from Colorado and join Wyoming.

Scott also talks about the issues in Texas and how it is a teachable moment for industry. Scott also explains why renewables are not the correct terminology, whereas, communities should be discussing “reliable” energy rather than “renewable”.

The Mad Green Rush is also discussed and whether it should be happening at the natural pace or the pace of the Climate Activists.

JP Warren, Capital Petroleum Consultants, talks about how their home is without water in Texas, but has power. Warren and his wife are hosting a client’s family while he is in North Dakota working the Bakken.
