Elon Musk’s SpaceX reportedly plans to drill near a Texas launchpad for natural gas

Elon Musk, who recently relocated to Texas, now reportedly has plans to to drill for natural gas there, too.

SpaceX, Musk’s space company, is looking to drill wells close to the company’s Boca Chica, Texas, launchpad, according to Bloomberg. The site in Boca Chica previously hosted prototype launches for the company.

Elon Musk’s $100 Million Prize And How To Win It

Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, is donating $100 million toward a prize for the “best carbon capture technology.”

Carbon capture is, in fact, a broad mix of technologies with the same aim: collecting carbon dioxide so it doesn’t escape into the atmosphere and contribute to global warming. The greenhouse gas can be captured from power plants and factories, or even directly from the air.

Hippopotamuses brought to Colombia as part of Escobar’s private zoo at his ranch, Hacienda Napoles, have bred so successfully that there is serious concern over their environmental impact and human safety, according to a new study by researchers at Mexican and Colombian universities.
