After a Couple Stretch Picks, Oilify Says Bring It On

Blessed with a solid draft position (No. 3 overall), expectations were high for Oilify. After they drafted, however, those expectations faded immediately, as this team is on track for an unexceptional 8th-place finish in The Crude Life. Oilify are predicted to post a record of 6-9 (2,074 points).

Oilify’s Biggest Steal of the Draft: Devin Singletary

What a nice late-round bargain for Oilify, who got Singletary at No. 147, about three rounds later than his ADP of 119. After a season in which he rushed for 687 yards and 2 TDs and hauled in 38 balls for 269 yards, totaling 125 fantasy points, Singletary is projected to score 180 fantasy points with the Bills. That makes him a valuable No. 3 RB for this squad.

Oilify’s Biggest Stretch of the Draft: DJ Chark Jr.

It seems everyone is a self-declared fantasy expert these days, so there’s no telling where you got the idea to draft Chark Jr. in the 7th round, about two rounds earlier than his ADP of 114. Perhaps you’re onto something, though. Projected to score 192 fantasy points this season with the Jaguars, he appears set to beat last year when he grabbed 56 passes for 722 yards and 5 TDs over 14 games to post 127 fantasy points. Chark Jr. will slot in as the No. 3 WR for Oilify, according to projected points.

Fashionably late? With the selection of TE Cole Kmet (No. 99 overall), you became the last manager in the league to draft a tight end.

With the selections of Allen Robinson II, Cole Kmet, and Justin Fields, Oilify had more Bears than any other team in The Crude Life. League-wide, the Buccaneers were the most popular team, as nine of them were selected in the draft.

Oilify face a tough task in Week 7 when they have five players on a bye (Ezekiel Elliott, Justin Jefferson, DJ Chark Jr., Devin Singletary, and Jared Cook). The Industrial Forest, your Week 7 opponent, will have three players (Stefon Diggs, Michael Gallup, and Zack Moss) getting the week off.

With a strength of schedule ranked as the 6th easiest according to projected records, Oilify have a fairly balanced path in The Crude Life this season.
