Year In Review 2020: Pipeline Security and AI Integration

It’s time once again for our Annual Year In Review interviews! Last April 2020, Brad Hollier, MSL Oilfield Services, give an update on how their company is adjusting to the COVID-19 Shutdown and coronavirus pandemic.

“…this technology was actually using the smart city grid system that Lockheed Martin developed years ago for actually rail monitoring for trains, we’ve adapted it to pipeline monitoring. It’s used throughout the world. It was originally developed to stop digging and hot tapping the pipelines in third-world countries where people are stealing oil and products off of pipelines. So there’s actually a pinpoint if someone’s diggin in the area. If someone’s intruded into that space. So they could actually send out an email security…”

Hollier gives an update on their European energy activity as well as the United States. Hollier also describes Houston’s current commerce scene.

The interview dives into innovation and environmental energy. Hollier also comments on production optimization as an area of focus.
