/

Brandon Davis, Swan Energy, explains why their energy company is going heavy natural gas in the future and are looking to buy up fields right now. Davis says they have already looked at about 100 leases and are continuing their search for natural gas opportunities. He estimated they will add another 500 wells and 40,000 acres.

Davis gives an update on their water hauling business, which is essentially on auto pilot at best as the industry has slowed down. The interview also discusses Jerry Jones, Planet of the Humans, Nationalizing Oil and opportunities in capitalism.

Lynn Helms, Director, Department of Mineral Resources, recalls what life was like during the last bust when rig counts reached zero in the Bakken. Helms was a week into his job when this historic feat occurred. Helms explains some of the logistics behind going from several rigs to zero rigs and why so many operators will hang on as long as they can. Ancillary issues like finding workers, innovation advancements and equipment integration are just a few of the issues with Rig Count Zero. Helms also gives an update on the current situation in the Bakken oil fields with the effects of OPEC, coronavirus impact and COVID-19 Shutdown.

Tom Masiero, Great American Mining, discusses Bitcoin Mining in the Bakken and how blockchain could be entering into oil and gas sooner than later. Masiero explains how the Chinese integration of blockchain into oil and gas will be relevant in the United States very soon. Many in China believe it will change the world.
