Joe Dancy , Distinguished Lecturer, Energy Law and Economics, Oil, Gas, Natural Resources, and The University of Oklahoma College of Law Energy Center, gives an update from NAPE 2019.

Dancy cites more booths, more hustle and more Big Data this year. Optimism was present once again too.

He also discussed some of the innovation and technologies displayed at the conference, including a virtual reality program on the Permian.

Industry related, the interview touched on the competitive frac sand and environmental services industry. In addition, the benefits of rig mats are detailed.

Dancy also gives an update from the financial side of oil and gas. As well as shares some examples of “engineers being poached” and pipeline construction creating a new ripple.

The interview concluded with Dancy sharing some stories from his class room guest, Alex Epstein, New York Times best selling author. Epstein wrote “The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels”
