Dale Brown is a former college basketball coach who spent 25 years coaching the LSU Tigers. His teams earned Final Four appearances in 1981 and 1986. He is also remembered for coaching Shaquille O’Neal and as one of the most vocal critics of the NCAA because he said it legislated against human dignity.

Brown talks about coaching Randy Livingston, a player who made it to the NBA after blowing out both his knees in college. Brown also discusses whether former UCLA coach John Wooden would be fired in today’s coaching environment.

Throughout his entertainment career, Mark has performed for the Tuskegee Airmen, the Secretary of the Interior Gayle Norton, Secretary of Commerce Don Evans, Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao, Members of Congress, Sargent Shriver, Mia Hamm, Tony Stewart, The Washington Redskins, The Atlanta Falcons, and The New York Giants (NFL), the Florida Panthers (NHL), the Washington Nationals (MLB), the NCAA, Universal Studios and The Supreme Allied Commander of NATO Europe. Currently, Mark travels the country delivering keynote addresses for businesses, colleges, young professionals networks, conferences and school assemblies.

He also performs the National Anthem for collegiate and professional sports teams and is the full-time National Anthem singer for the University of North Dakota Men’s Hockey program as well as a guest performer for the College World Series, WE Fest, The Minnesota Twins and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Mark co-founded Breath Is Limited Motivational Speaking and Entertainment, LLC in order to advance ideas and ignite passion all over the world. Mark is a former Sergeant in the United States Air Force and an Afghanistan War Veteran who currently lives in Fargo, North Dakota.

The Crude Life Daily Update: Dr. Loren C. Scott, energy expert and economist, explains how the oil and gas industry will be impacted by the construction of pipelines and processing facilities.

Dr. Loren C. Scott was on the Economics Department faculty at Louisiana State University from 1969 to 1998, where he rose through the ranks from Assistant Professor to the holder of the Freeport-McMoran endowed Chair of Economics. He is presently Professor Emeritus of Economics at LSU.

Over the thirteen-year period from 1983-96, Dr. Scott was the chairman of
the Economics Department at LSU. During that time, the Department’s ranking among the 3,000 economics departments in the U.S. rose from 101st to 38th. He received 7 awards at LSU for outstanding classroom teaching.

Dr. Scott is co-developer of the Louisiana econometric model, a model used for providing annual forecasts of the Louisiana economy, which are released each fall. He was a co-investigator on over $1 million in grant research at LSU and is the author of over 75 articles and technical reports in addition to reports written for consulting clients.
