Keith Baudin, Oil & Gas Drilling Consultant, gives an update on the Haynesville and Austin Chalk shale plays. Baudin also updates the energy infrastructure and construction in the Lake Charles area as well as the new refineries.

Baudin also opined on how politics are causing issues with energy development. The “new normal” in energy is discussed with attorneys and court cases being the center of the topic. Baudin is running for Louisiana state representative, District 46, and has a platform in energy centered around legacy lawsuits, severance tax and coastal erosion.

Monte Besler, Williston API Chili Cook Off & FRACN8R Consulting, gives the details for the 38th Annual API Chili Cook Off. Besler also gives a history of the event and describes why it has become so success and well known.

Sara Myhre, Community Ambulance Service of New Rockford talks about what services they provide for their area. They are participating in Giving Hearts Day, Feb. 14, and describes his experience with the event. Myhre explains their challenges with fundraising and revenue generation in an emergency services field. Myhre also describes what local community activities they will be doing on Giving Hearts Day in order to motivate people to give.
