William Prentice, Meridan Energy Group, gives an update on the Davis Refinery coming to the Bakken oil fields just outside of Belfield, ND. Prentice talks about the amount of time and resources that have gone into communicating with environmental groups and antagonists despite winning every court battle. Prentice also talks about breaking new eco-innovation ground with their refinery and how a formula for other shale plays is being created.

Prentice continues by describing how their formula is being put into play just outside of Kermit, TX, with the Walton Refinery. He also teased a third location may be announced next year. Prentice thanks the people in the Bakken for being patient with the Davis Refinery. The location of the refinery is close to major transportation and distribution arteries.

James Dugger, Vitalant West Texas, talks about how the recent shootings in Odessa, Texas have impacted their need for blood. He also explains how the hurricane season is already putting strain on their supply. The power of the energy community and the Permian Basin was also discussed in the interview.
