Interviews: Ryan Rauschenberger

“There is no doubt that North Dakota is in the midst of an unprecedented transformation that has proven valuable to the state and its citizens in many ways,” Lee Tillman, president and CEO, Marathon Oil said at the Williston Basin Petroleum Conference.

The recent energy surge in North Dakota has tax collections at an all time high.  The North Dakota Tax Commissioner’s role has seen an increase in activity with new fees, permits, laws and extensions over the past several years.

For our Energy Policy Special, candidates were provided three questions in advanced, limited to three minutes per question and were asked to refrain from using their candidate’s name in their response.  All interviews were conducted in person.

In the 2014 North Dakota Election will feature three candidates for Tax Commissioner on this year’s ballot.  Jason Astrup, Ryan Rauschenberger and Anthony Mangnall.
