March Madness dove right into utter mayhem when No. 11 Hawker Well Works upset No. 6 E & E Enterprise LLC in the first game of the day. Then in the evening, a historic upset as underdog No. 15 The Energy Detox Podcast with Joe Sinnott slayed the Goliath of No. 2 Black Creek K9 Pipeline Leak Detection in an overtime thriller for the ages. It marked just the 10th-ever instance of a No. 15 seed beating a No. 2 seed.
It was the first-ever The Crude Life March Madness victory for The Energy Detox Podcast, an energy leadership podcast broadcasting M-F in Pittsburgh, PA.
For Black Creek K9 Pipeline Inspections and the pack of working dogs, it was particularly heartbreaking since head coach and trainer Dwayne Farris was in Tulsa, OK, speaking to the Natural Gas Energy Association of Oklahoma.
Joe Sinnott’s special Energy Detox may have stole the seeding show on Thursday, but it was a Cheerleader from losing No. 11 Highpoint Global Capital who was the real winner.
What an awesome lesson in life. Think outside the box and allow the real experts to play their role no matter how it looks. In this case, it will be the moral lesson of the entire tournament, if not the MVP Play Of The Tournament.
