The Return Of The ESG Doubting Thomas
/

After spending some time on his literal death bed, The ESG Doubting Thomas is back full of ESG and Vinegar!  Wordsmith and poet Stephen Heins returns to The Crude Life to share his continued doubts about the ESG movement and it’s intention.  Host Jason Spiess discusses some of the recent news stories and leaders who are driving the ESG conversation now.

Heins, also shares a story about when he was living in New York State attending college at Columbia, writing poetry as a quasi-beatnik and compares it to today’s climate activists.  Spiess and Heins have been bantering about ESG topics and the narrative since 2017 on The Crude Life.

Heins believes the oil and gas industry is missing opportunity after opportunity continuing to try the same things with the same people.  He cites several names who he considers to be leaders in citing and delivering real energy information in the world of podcast, blogs and real time info like Robert Bryce, Art Berman, Tom Shepstone, Jim Willis and others.

The interview also challenges Spiess’ ESG Column.  Heins agrees with some areas, but confronts Spiess on his interpretation of the Social aspect in regards to monetizing the value and results.

The Doubting Thomas stays true to form after surviving COVID and the economic shutdown in his triumphant return to the airwaves.
