Brandon Davis and Imran Khan, Swan Energy, share some insight and information on where rigs are operating.
“I see good opportunities as far as cash flow working, right now there are some in the Permian and Delaware,” Davis said. “And all of the DJ Basin right now and the Wattenberg Field in Colorado is phenomenal. Even where prices are right now.”
Khan comments on Jerry Jone’s recent natural gas news. He said Jones is a customer in one of his restaurants and has the good fortune to have exchanges with Jones.
“He’s come by and spoken to me a little bit about some natural gas plays he has been making,” Khan said. “He’s definitely a very intelligent man around the oil and gas space.
The interview transitions into the Keystone, DAPL and Atlantic pipeline shutdowns and how it will impact Shale Play USA.
Khan mentioned the comments from billionaire Kelcy Warren as something that stood out. Warren said they were going to continue pumping oil through the pipeline and used the media opportunity to solicit more customers for the pipeline. Davis agreed with Khan and Warren.
“I love it,” Davis said. “I think I would have had the same response.”
The interview also discussed the rise of trucking opportunities in oil transportation with the pipeline issues.
“If that happens, there is definitely some room there for trucking,” Davis said. “There’s a lot of trucks out there right now not doing a lot that were busy.”
Davis sees the current state of affairs as a time for leaders to stand up tall and entrepreneurs to show their true grit as the market shifts, evolves and changes.
“Everyone needs to stand up for what they believe in and say what they think and stop letting people run over them,” Davis said. “It’s been going on now for 20 years and I am kinda tired of it.”
