Jackie Jenkin and Tiffany Steiner, co-founder of the Bakken BBQ, give the details for the 8th Annual Bakken BBQ rescheduled to August 21, 2020, at the West River Ice Center parking lot in Dickinson, ND.

This year will bring some changes, as the coronavirus safety precautions will be administers, there will also be some layout and logistical changes to the event. Adding seating areas to the kiddie corner, a live DJ and adding more cookers are just a couple examples of changes to this year’s BBQ event.

The Bakken BBQ’s purpose is to raise money for Make A Wish North Dakota. In the past, children who have received gifts from the Bakken BBQ and others have attended the event, and some years even spoke to the crowd.

The two also discuss how difficult some of the changes were behind the scenes, guessing and gambling on how the future will play out given the current state of affairs.
